Working Principle of Triple-pass Wood Shavings Dryer :

Wetwood shavingsmoves through the triple-pass drum in an hot air stream created by the wood shavings dryer’s Induced Draft Fan. The threedrum are concentric and are mechanically interlocked to rotate at the same speed.

The wet wood shavings are repeatedly carried to the top of each cylinder by internal and external flights so they are constantly and intimately showered through the hot gas. Moisture is given off continually as they move along the hot air stream.

Heavier, wetter particles move slower than fine particles -- forward through the center cylinder, back through the middle cylinder and again forward through the outer cylinder to the induced draft fan at the discharge end.
