The raw materials suitable for wood pellet machines are mainly rice husks, sunflower seed shells, peanut shells, branches, trunks, wood chips, sawdust, bagasse, agricultural waste, etc. First, the raw materials are dried and crushed into powder materials of different particle sizes, and enter the compression area of the rotating mold and rotating roller through the feeding device. The material gradually loosens in this area, forming pores of different sizes. Under the action of rotary extrusion, the powder particles slide and roll, the pores gradually decrease, the stress increases, the material density increases, and the particles change from point contact to surface contact. When the stress reaches the critical value, the material density is close to the target. Subsequently, the high-density material enters the extrusion zone, where it changes from elastic deformation to plastic deformation, exhibits fluidity and enters the die hole. Mechanical extrusion increases the contact area between particles, and combined with the cohesiveness of the material, the material in the die hole reaches the required density and strength before being pushed out. Finally, the extruded material is cut into the required length to complete the pelletizing process.
